Newborn photos in Sittingbourne, Kent {Phil / Charley / Alice}

It was so special to welcome baby Alice into the world. I went to her parent’s house in Sittingbourne, Kent to capture them enjoying time with their first baby. 

Alice was 2 weeks old when I meet her and was quite alert throughout my time at their house, looking around and gazing out towards the light from the window. Most newborns tend to be between 1-2 weeks old, but because my approach is more lifestyle and the poses are all-natural, newborn sessions can take place anytime up till they are 6 weeks old. I recommend older babies get photographed at any time from 3 months onwards.

We started the session downstairs in their living room on the sofa where everyone relaxed. Alice was then fed and changed before we moved upstairs to the master bedroom and her nursery. My sessions are laid back and always baby-led. I leave plenty of time so we go with the flow. This way it feels as natural and relaxed as possible.

Though Alice is their first baby, we had to get some photos of their first fur baby too! Pets are always welcome where possible. We managed to get some shots of the whole family together. Because Izzy was so well behaved and well trained we managed to get some photos of just Alice and Izzy together too. 

It was so lovely to spend time with the family and capture these special moments for them – cuddles with mummy, being fed, moments with Izzy.
